About Us
Our Journey
We are Rajwinder Kaur and Gagandeep Singh, proud parents of three wonderful children. Back in 2013, we packed our hopes and dreams into a few suitcases and came to the United States, ready to build a safe and brighter future together. Over the years, we’ve worked hard, leaned on each other, and made South Windsor, Connecticut the place we proudly call home.
When the world slowed down during the pandemic, life gave us a chance to pause and reflect. Rajwinder, who once worked as a banker, found herself at home—uncertain but inspired. Out of that season of change grew the idea to create something meaningful, something that carried a piece of our story and our values into every home it reached.
The Craft of Macramé
That search for meaning brought Rajwinder back to something deeply rooted in her childhood — macramé. Growing up in rustic India, it was more than a hobby; it was an art form that symbolized patience, creativity, and tradition.
Picking up the threads again felt like reconnecting with her roots. When her first handmade piece went live on Etsy, the response was overwhelming. Each order wasn’t just a package shipped — it was a shared connection, a reminder that beauty and handmade love still have a place in people’s homes.
From Craft to Community
Encouraged by that early support, we began dreaming bigger. What started as a few pieces on Etsy grew into something more: our own space where we could share not only our work, but also our story and values. That is how this website was born.
Today, every macramé piece we create — whether a large wall hanging, a boho-inspired tapestry, or a delicate handmade décor item — carries a part of our journey: resilience, tradition, and love for craftsmanship. Each one is designed to bring warmth, texture, and a sense of belonging into your home.
Giving Back: The Spirit of Dasvand
At the heart of our business is a value we grew up with — the Sikh tradition of Dasvand: giving back a portion of what we earn to those in need.
That’s why we pledge to donate 10% of our profits to support underprivileged communities. For us, this is more than charity — it’s a responsibility and a way of keeping our roots alive.
When you buy from us, you’re not just purchasing a handmade piece — you’re helping support artists, the environment, and a kinder world.
Our Promise to You
Every knot we tie and every order we send carries our family’s promise: to create beauty while spreading kindness.
From our family to yours — thank you for being part of our story.
